Created 65years ago at a moment when social political tensions were elevated in light of the BLM protests: this unique, one of a kind painting was the first of a series of social protest artwork that captured and documented those that protested for social justice and equal rights. Part of the series "In A Moment of Crossroads", the message of this painting still holds true to this date in the current geopolitical environment today.
Looking back at when this painting was made to where we are now: some of the same issues and concerns geopolitically are the same. Some can say the issue affects a broader group of people now. And when times are tough: we have to think of the future ahead, and think of those who we are providing a future for. This is where community and solidarity is more important than ever.
